Dialogues on Dutch Society | ONLINE EXHIBITION
The polarization of Dutch society, and the recurring scapegoating of social groups based on race, religion, and cultural heritage, have both been at the centre of academic reflections in the past decade, with debates around stereotyping, othering, and exclusion. Sadly, they regularly fall on deaf ears. This digital exhibition aims at tackling these debates through the eyes of five artists, their work, and interviews led by academic researchers reflecting on the intersection of abstract concepts and artistic practices.
All texts were written by Maartje van der Woude, curation by former Arts, Media, and Society students, with the participation of Judith Jansen, Marius van Zandwijk, Saša Karalić, Sven Meijers, and Abdalla Daif.
