Animation workshops for kids and adults
During Leiden Shorts, De Animatiebus turns our location into a small animation factory. Young and old are invited to roll up their sleeves and create their own stop motion animation. The workshop will take on average 1.5 hours (but participants can stay as long as they need to finish their film).
As a participant, you will create your own storyline and invent the characters and context of their plot. You will think of a script, draw, cut, glue and colour the elements of their story. Once all elements are ready, you will assemble every frame of the story under the “rolling” camera using the stop motion technique. The (finalized) films can be taken home. After the workshop, you will have acquired the basic skills to make a short film with an app that can also be used on your own devices.
The workshop is suited to anyone above the age of 5.
The cost of the workshop is €5,-. Bundle discounts can be purchased on Eventbrite. BplusC members receive a discount for the event.
