Cinema, or the motion-picture, has always been defined by its relationship to movement and time. The frame, the shot, and the montage all allow for cinematic expression to take hold of its viewer. The films in this session navigate movement and stasis strategically through their positioning of the camera and objects within the shot. It invites the spectator to travel through the lens as they reflect on migration, exchange, motion and touch.
We recommend watching this session in tandem with “Time-Image”.
