This section takes us on a marvellous visual journey into the present and future, exploring the relationship between human beings and technology. How has technology shaped our understanding of the world around us, how has social media interfered with our daily life, and what are the meanings behind our technological usages? These thought-provoking shorts, hybrid in genre, help us individually reach a conclusion as to whether technology is ultimately with or without, for or against us.
After the screening, Sam Rijken will give a presentation exploring the relationship between humans and technology. Rijken is a PhD candidate at EUR researching the role of imagination in science. He had an arthouse phase and is passionate about the role of audiovisual media in the communication of ideas.
