Director Biography

Ario Motevaghe was born in Tehran, Iran in 1990. He studied theater in high school and later on found his passion in Cinema, proceeding to study Cinematography major in Soore University. As a cinematographer, he filmed forty-two short films including “Magralen” which took part in the Short Films Generation Kplus section of Berlinale festival 2019 and “Endorphin” movie which won Special Mention award in Leopards of Tomorrow section, Locarno International Film Festival 2013. He also filmed and directed many promotional teasers since 2011. Previously he had written three screenplays and two plays, and “weekend” is his first experience as a movie director.
