The salmon want to reproduce. While the salmon men are swimming upstream in a testosterone-driven race, the women at the source of the river indulge themselves in a fertility dance. But the roles aren’t set as clearly as the men expect.

Director Biography

Veronica L. Montaño, Joel Hofmann and Manuela Leuenberger met during their studies at the University of Applied Sciences and Art in Lucerne. They collaborated on animated shorts in different formations and started the Eisprung Animation Studio in 2017. Since then, they have been working on short films, commissioned work and animated cakes. «Lachsmänner» is the first film they directed together as Eisprung.
