Director Biography

Juanita ONZAGA's short film Our Song To War premiered in 2018 at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at Cannes Film Festival. In 2017, her short film The Jungle Knows You Better Than You Do won the Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the Berlinale in the section Generation 14+. She is currently developing her first fiction feature film, The Landscapes That You Seek, supported by Hubert Bals Bright Future, in production of an immersive VR experience, as well as shooting a feature docufiction. Tomorrow Is a Water Palace (2021) is the first of a series of works that connect Europe and South America within a transcultural exploration of mysticism.
