Greece 1986-1987, a little before the fall of State Socialism and just at the end of the Cold War. In front of Anthi’s eyes the country is changing, the world is changing and with them Christos seems to be changing too.

Director Biography

Thelyia Petraki is a Berlinale Talent Alumni and a Hellenic Film Academy award-nominated director. She graduated from CALARTS (USA) with a BA in Film, and from UCL (UK) with an MA in Visual & Material Culture. She has directed the short films: "PRAY" 2012 (Palm Springs, Uppsala, Austin, etc.) distributed by Premium Films, "HELGA ÄR I LUND" 2016 that premiered at the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, and the medium-length documentary "ME AND THE OTHERS" 2015 that premiered in Thessaloniki Documentary film festival. Her third hybrid short film “BELLA” 2020, as a script, participated at the Berlinale Short Film Station 2019. The complete film premiered at the Visions Du Reel 2020 where its was awarded with a special mention. Ever since, Bella, has been a nominee or a winner in various high profile international film festivals. Currently, Thelyia is in the process of developing her first feature film.
