Woon jij in Leiden? Heb jij een extra kamer of comfortabele bank? Heb jij interesse in contact leggen met filmmakers van over de hele wereld en deel uitmaken van een culturele uitwisseling tijdens Leiden Shorts? Als jou antwoord ja is op deze vragen nodigen we jou graag uit om je huis open te stellen voor de bezoekende filmmakers. Je krijgt een festival pas en gratis toegang tot alle voorstellingen en evenementen!

Over onze vraag

Elk jaar verwelkomt Leiden Shorts met veel plezier filmmakers van over de hele wereld in onze stad, dit jaar van 30 mei tot 3 juni. Tijdens het festival is een doel van ons om connecties te leggen tussen alle bezoekers en een warm welkom aan hen te bieden. Daarom zoeken wij inwoners uit Leiden die hun huis tijdens het festival voor twee of drie nachten open willen stellen voor de bezoekende filmmakers. Dit is een unieke kans om filmmakers te ontmoeten van over de hele wereld en nieuwe connecties te vormen.    

Wie zoeken wij?

We zoeken gastvrije mensen die plek hebben voor een filmmaker. Of je nu een extra kamertje hebt, een echte logeerkamer of een fijne slaapbank. Jou gastvrijheid kan een waardevol verschil maken in het bezoek van onze internationale gasten. Deelname geeft ons de kans om hen een unieke ervaring te bezorgen van Leiden, terwijl zij hun films presenteren tijdens het festival. 

Wat krijg je ervoor terug?

Voor jou gastvrijheid krijg jij een gratis festival pas waarmee je toegang hebt tot alle filmvoorstellingen, evenementen en activiteiten tijdens Leiden Shorts. Wat jou de kans geeft om alle vreugde en creativiteit van dichtbij mee te maken. 

Hoe meld je je aan?

Als je interesse hebt om een filmmaker bij jou te laten logeren tijdens Leiden Shorts kan je dit aanmeld formulier invullen voor 12 mei. Na het invullen geven wij je alle verdere details.

Accommodate International Filmmakers

Are you interested in connecting with filmmakers from around the world and being a part of the vibrant cultural exchange during Leiden Shorts? If so, we invite you to participate as a host for our visiting filmmakers and get a festival pass with free access to all screenings and events!

About the Opportunity

Leiden Shorts is thrilled to welcome international filmmakers to our city for the upcoming festival, taking place May 30 – June 3. As part of our commitment to fostering connections and providing a warm welcome to our guests, we are seeking individuals in Leiden who are willing to open their homes and host filmmakers for two or three nights during the festival. It is a unique opportunity to meet filmmakers and artists from all over the world and create new connections.

What We’re Looking For

We are in need of who can accommodate visiting filmmakers. Whether you have a spare room, a cosy guest room, or a comfortable sofa bed, your hospitality can make a meaningful difference in the experience of our international guests. Your participation will allow us to host them here in Leiden as they present their films.

What You’ll Receive

In exchange for your generosity, you will receive a free festival pass, granting access to all screenings, events and activities during Leiden Shorts, allowing you to experience the excitement and creativity first hand.

How to Apply

If you’re interested in becoming a host for Leiden Shorts, please fill out the application from below by May 12. We’ll get back to you with further details to coordinate the logistics of hosting.
