If so, we invite you to participate as a host for our visiting filmmakers and get a festival pass with free access to all screenings and events!

About the Opportunity

Leiden Shorts is thrilled to welcome international filmmakers to our city for the upcoming festival, taking place June 6-9. As part of our commitment to fostering connections and providing a warm welcome to our guests, we are seeking individuals in Leiden who are willing to open their homes and host filmmakers for two nights during the festival. It is a unique opportunity to meet filmmakers and artists from all over the world and create new connections.

What We’re Looking For

We are in need of approximately 10 hosts who can accommodate visiting filmmakers. Whether you have a spare room, a cosy guest room, or a comfortable sofa bed, your hospitality can make a meaningful difference in the experience of our international guests. Your participation will allow us to host them here in Leiden as they present their films.

What You’ll Receive

In exchange for your generosity, you will receive a free festival pass, granting access to all screenings, events and activities during Leiden Shorts, allowing you to experience the excitement and creativity first hand.

How to Apply

If you’re interested in becoming a host for Leiden Shorts, please fill out the application form by May 17. We’ll get back to you with further details to coordinate the logistics of hosting.
