Call for REVIEWERS

We are looking for Reviewers to join the Pre-selection Committee for Leiden Shorts 2024

Leiden Shorts was established in 2009 as a newborn platform for short films and has since grown into one of the most important short film events in the Netherlands. We envision Leiden Shorts as an alternative creative space for national and international filmmakers to showcase their distinct voices by exploring the power of the short film medium. By considering cinema as a tool for social change, we aim to spotlight underrepresented voices and provide space for daring narratives and unconventional forms to take shape.

The pre-selection committee is responsible for the first screening, reviewing and evaluation process of the films submitted to Leiden Shorts. Through individual motivations and collective discussions, the reviewers will be the first to determine which films will be further considered in the selection process for the festival’s competitions.
